One of the best hotels ever and we were delighted with our choice. The location was easy to find and worth the drive through the city. Parking on-site was convenient and welcoming staff were helpful from the outset and throughout our stay. Our room was clean and well laid out. The shower room was sumptuously appointed with fabulous fittings, bold decor and delivered a real luxury feel. Lovely lotions and potions were provided, with super soft towels too. Bold and brave style choices were in evidence everywhere in this spacious, comfortable hotel. The setting was stunning and the hotel is nestled into the hillside, with commanding views across Cork city which can be enjoyed from the expansive terrace, surrounded by clear glass barriers to enhance the views. We enjoyed a true "sundowner" here before heading inside for a fabulous dinner in the restaurant. Tastefully liveried staff were on hand at every turn and both dinner and breakfast the next morning were superb. The garden landscaping at Montenotte was fantastic and totally worth an unhurried tour. Spectacular attention to detail here has delivered an outstanding result, worthy of an RHS medal. It was literally like walking into a Chelsea show garden! Carefully curated planting, interspersed with interesting annotated sculptures and superb hard landscaping, exploited the steep hillside location. This did not feel like a hotel garden and it really was enjoyable. Thoughtful accommodation choices make this a superb choice for all travellers, but it felt like the perfect adult place to come to decompress and unwind. We left wishing that we were staying for longer, but delighted that this was the perfect end to our week touring southern Ireland - most definitely a highlight and we hope to return.

A typical hotel room, very clean and simple decor. We had a room facing the city (third floor) and it was quite a lovely view. Other rooms face the street/parking lot so something to consider when booking. The hotel itself is high up on a hill in a relatively affluent neighborhood. It is not within walking distance to the city center, so you will need a car (or taxi) to get anywhere. Regardless, it's a nice respite from the hustle and bustle below. The breakfast was outstanding - full, hot buffet breakfast - or one cooked to order, along with typical cold offerings (meats, fruits, cereal, etc.). The staff were also super helpful and friendly - so all in all, a great stay.

breakfast was not great compared to Silversprings or Radisson, i am a business traveller who travels to Cork at least twice a month and usually stay at Radisson little Island as the have a great loyalty scheme and great benefits for frequent stayers like executive rooms, early and late check out.. I thought your hotel was beautiful and staff brilliant especially the youg lads in teh bar and reception were very professoinal.. the full irish was not good and tasteless to be honest... that is easy to fix for you guys, the bamburys had the food soggy and it was not topped up so taking the scraps.

Booked 1 bedroom apt to be near relatives living in the area. Convenient, quiet location with beautiful views of city. Short walk to St Luke’s Cross for coffee, small grocery store, pub, restaurants. Approx 15 minute walk into city (uphill on return). Apartment well-appointed with sitting area separate from bedroom and full kitchen (including washer-dryer). Enjoyed use of health club. All facilities clean and well cared for; staff willing to go extra mile.

The staff were absolutely amazing and made the stay really special for us - closing our room curtains at night, leaving a chocolate beside the bed, routine room cleaning, and the porters were a wonderful front of house greeting everyone with a smile, as were the staff at check-in. It was our anniversary too so we got a free upgrade which was really appreciated. We also loved the Cameo Cinema and spa.
